Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the precision of end surface of a rotary type heat exchanger, even when the diameter of the heat exchanger is large.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical first heat exchanging element 1 has a rotor 2 on the outer peripheral surface of which wound and bonded is a sheet 3 which is constituted by a corrugated sheet 3a and a flat sheet 3b. A cylindrical second heat exchanging element 4 is formed to have sector-shaped cross-section by alternatingly superposing and bonding corrugated sheets 3a and flat sheets 3b in arcuate form. A plurality of second elements 4 are connected to form a ring-like assembly which surrounds the element 1, so as to form the heat exchanger. According to this construction, it is possible to improve the precision of end surface of the heat exchanger and to reduce the installation cost of the winding equipment. Further, the installation of the heat exchanger is facilitated, because the heat exchanger is divided into a plurality of sections
