Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a heat exchanger with a plurality of heat exchanger elements, thereby to improve the precision of the flatness of the end surface of heat exchanger and to facilitate the assembling thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The heat exchanging elements 1A-1D of the heat exchnger are formed by cutting a blank material 2 which is formed by alternatingly superposing a flat sheet and a corrugated sheet into the forms of heat insulating sectors which occupy, respectively, quarters of a circle. These elements are then bonded to the outer peripheral surface of a rotor 4 coupled to the rotor shaft, through a reinforcing plate 5, so as to form as a whole a cylindrical unit. The heat exchanger is completed by clamping these elements from the outside by semicircular clamping plates 6, 7 by means of bolts. Since the heat exchanger is constituted by four separate elements 1A-1D, the production of the elements and assembling are facilitated. At the same time, the flatness of the heat exchanger is much improved as compared with that of conventional heat exchanger which is produced by winding the sheet- like element
