Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the safety by preventing a failured accident by means of setting up penetrating holes for hanging fuel assemly and a supporting structure part which engages with the supporting metal tool of fuel assembly, and of preventing the weight concentration of fuel assembly to the fuel rods and channel combinating part.
CONSTITUTION: Penetrating holes 7 are set up at the upper side wall of a channel 2 of a fuel assembly 1. A supporting structure part having an inclined surface which is contacted and engaged with a lower tie plate 6, is formed at the lower end part of the channel 2. The lower end circumferent part of this supporting structure part 8 is engaged with a supporting metal tool of fuel assembly. The bundle of fuel rods is hanged by a handle 5a and is inserted into the channel 2, and the fuel bundle is positioned within a core by means of being entered into the penetrating holes 7 by a gripping part of a crane. Accordingly, there is no weight concentration of fuel assembly to the fuel rods and the channel combinating part, thereby a failured accident of the fuel rods and the combinating part can be prevented
