Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect the frequencies of vibrating sounds owing to torsional resonance of rotating shaft systems with a microphone, avert the resonance occuring in the symmetry of the structure by passing through these an acoustic measuring and analyzing unit and calculate the correction weigth value to suppress vibrations with a data processing unit.
CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic exciting device P performs electromagnetic excitation by driving a motor provided with a multiblade fan of a symmetrical construction having symmetrical faces perpendicular to the blower revolving shaft and a motor with its frequency converter as a power source. An acoustic measuring and analyzing unit Q measures the vibrating sounds of the revolving portions of the motor driven blower with a microphone and obtains the frequencies and amplitudes of the sounds at the resonating with a frequency analyzer. A data processing unit R consists of a data processing part R1 which collects and records the frequencies and amplitudes of the vibrations of the sounds at the resonating and calculates the influence coefficients of the shaft system with the data of the unit Q and performs comparison of the results with the target vibration characteristics at another side and a correcting, computing and comparing part R2 which performs the computation of correction quantity by using said influence coefficients and comparison with the maximum permissible correction quantity. A weighting device S performs mounting and removing of weight correcting elastic instrumentation as correcting weights.
