Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent laser output from being changed by vibrations, impact, etc. by constituting the input side end face itself of an optical fiber as the output side plane mirror of a laser and integrally constituting the laser and the support plate of the optical fiber.
CONSTITUTION: A laser 11 is constituted by disposing an optical fiber supporting plate 18, a laser activating medium 12, a total reflecting spherical mirror 14 and an optical fiber 17 in such a manner that their central axes align and integtating these. The input side end face of the optical fiber 17 is mirror-polished and coating having a required reflectance is applied thereon, whereby a partially transmittable plane mirror 19 is constituted.
