Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a superconductor for large-size magnet, which permits a large current to flow and endures a high electromagnetic force and can be cooled, by providing a feeding conductor stabilized by stabilizing materials in each apace of reinforcing materials whose section is branched into a branch shape.
CONSTITUTION: Reinforcing materials z1 of a frame structure whose section is branched into a branch shape are formed by using iron-radical alloy, etc., and superconductor materials 20 are arranged in the space between branches while being able to stop the hoop stress. Conductor materials 20 are formed by making superconductor 23 such as niobium and titanium into one body by stabilizing materials 22 such as aluminum and copper, and the hoop stress which acts on conductor materials 20 is stopped by the frame structure of reinforcing materials 11. Further, the exposed surface of conductor materials 20 is made contact directly with liquid helium and is colled satisfactorily. Thus, a superconductor can be obtained which is fit for a nuclear fusion furnace, an energy accumulator, etc., well.
