Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent freezing during the winter season by providing this washing machine with a heater that holds the surroundings of a drain valve of the washing machine and can easily be mounted and demounted, and to make installing work easy by simplifying a structure.
CONSTITUTION: A drain valve 12 is mounted to an outer frame and a drain pipe 11 and a hose 14 are installed. A heater 35 with a left and right symmetrical semicircular section is attached so as to hold a case 28 from a lower portion of the drain valve 12 under a condition that a space between the arms 36, 37 of said heater 35 is expanded. When force applied between the arms 36, 37 is opened under a condition that an arm fitting portion 38 covers a cover 32, the heater strongly holds the drain valve 12 by the elasticity of the heater 35 and covers the whole. Heating units 41, such as, carbon kraft, a nichrome wire, etc. are installed to the inner circumferential surfaces of both arms 36, 37. A thermostat 42 is mounted to a lower portion of the arm fitting portion 38, thus controlling the temp. of the heating units 41
