Abstract

PURPOSE: TO prevent hunting between mechanical system and control system of a steering system for unmanned transport vehicle, by employing an arrangement that the steering control system is activated only by vehicle driving instruction during the time when the vehicle is stopped.
CONSTITUTION: The steering system for unmanned vehicle, of this invention, comprises a driving motor 1, reduction gear 2, driving wheels 3, 4, steering motor 5, and steering wheel 7, and in this system, a signal from operation control circuit 10 to steering control circuit 14 is obtained from the output of operation processing circuit 11 and given to steering processing circuit 17. In the above arrangement, when output of the circuit 11 is given to the circuit 17, driving motor 1 is driven by driving circuit 12 and, at the same time, processing circuit 17 is also actuated to drive steering motor 5 and actuate steering system driving circuit 18 such that a steering angle θ instructed can be attained. When the output of the circuit 11 is interrupted, outputs of the circuits 17 and 18 are also interrupted so that steering motor 5 is not set into operation
