Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a cake with a stabilized percentage of water content while attaining a greater dehydration efficiency through dehydration of sludge with hydrochloric acid added thereto in treating a waste water such as urine, sewage, industrial organic waste water or the like.
CONSTITUTION: Hydrochloric acid 2 is added to a sludge 1 to a sludge 1 to perform pH control. Then, FeCl3 3 is added to the sludge thus pH-controlled, whereby flocks with a stabilized size and strength are obtained, while the dehydration load per uit weight can be reduced per the same sludge quantity as compared with the conventinal method by addition of Ca salt. In this manner, the filtration speed is improve substantially thus heightening the dehydration efficiency by a hydroextrator 4. In addition, a dehydration dehydratcake with a stablilized percentage of water content can be yielded. The amount of hydrochloric acid to be added is 3.0W13.0% less than the conventioanl method, thus reducing running cost of the chemicals.
