Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for continuously hardening steel pipes or the like, wherein intrusion of cooling water into a tail end of the pipe is prevented by installing between an annular cooler and the pipe to be hardened a movable and cylindrical shutter having holes corresponding to injection nozzles.
