Abstract
PURPOSE: To economically carry out with a high water recovery preventing the deposition of silicic acid scale, by running the water through the next stage permeating membrane heightening pH of concentrated water, after running the water solution containing silicic acid through permeating membrane and concentrating silicic acid in the solution in saturated or nearly saturated state on the concentrated water side.
CONSTITUTION: Water solution dissolved SiO2 in unsaturated state, is supplied under pressure to the permeating membrane apparatus having NaCl removing capacity and is separated in concentrated water and membrane permeated water. Concentration is kept within the limit of concentrating SiO2 in concentrated water to saturated or nearly saturated state on occasion of the above separation. Next, alkaline agent is added to the concentrated water and the above water is supplied to the next stage permeating membrane apparatus under pressure after regulating pH at more than 9.0 and then, is separated in concentrated water and membrane permeated water. Permeated water of fore stage and latter stage is able use in mixed state because of desalted water and the latter stage permeated water is able to use neutralizing by acid because of having high pH value.
