Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce high-frequency distortions and obtain high-frequency reproduction threshold by so leading slits in an equalizer up to throats and couple the respective slits that the effective lengths of the slits become respectively equal. CONSTITUTION:An equalizer 3 is slightly curved with respect to the diameter B-B running the central axis to a dome surface so that the slit spacings on the dome surface do not become constant. In addition, a plurality of slits are provided by equalizer pieces 3a thru 3e in its diametrical direction so that the slit width becomes constant or the outside circumference side becomes slightly wider. Changes in sectional area are provided to these so that the respective slits become approximately equal on each perpendicular palne with respect to sound axis and the slits are directed up to throats and are coupled so that the effective lengths L1 thru L4 of the slits become approximately equal. As a result, the slit spacings do not become constant and the dips owing to their acoustical open circuits become smaller and therefore the high-frequency distortions owing to the vibration modes of diaphragm may be reduced and the high-frequency reproduction threshold may be expanded by the slow attenuation of the high frequency range.
