Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain flat sound pressure frequency characteristics and good directional characteristics by engaging a horn having an arc form recess to the arc form protruding part of the front of the equalizer. CONSTITUTION:An equalizer 24 is disposed in the upper part of a dome form diaphragm 21 and the bottom of the equalizer 24 is the spherical recess 27 having a curvature approximately equal to that of the dome part of the diaphragm 21. A plurality of slit form openings 28 are provided in the circumferential direction. This opening 28 is propagated to the inside 31 of the horn 30 through sound path 29 provided within the equalizer 24. The front 35 of the equalizer 24 assumes arc form so as to engage to the arc form recess 36 provided to the horn 30. Since this enables the acoustic power and phase of the sound radiated by the dome form diaphragm 21 to be continuously propagated perfectly to the opening end 34 of the horn 30, the flat sound pressure frequency characteristics and good directional characteristics may be obtained.
