Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce size, eliminate operating sounds, impact and vibrations and achieve higher durability and focusing accuracy by moving an objective lens by magnetic attraction force and repulsion force.
CONSTITUTION: Holding frames 2, 3 which hold a part of an objective lens 1 are movably fixed to a stationary lens-barrel 6 for a optical axis direction, and a permanent magnet 4 is mounted to the holding frame 3 in order to act magnetic attraction force and repulsion force between the holding frames 2, 3 and stationary lens-barrel 6. A plurality of electromagnets 7 are arrayed along the optical axis direction in opposition to the permanent magnet 4 to the stationary lens-barrel 6 and these electromagnets 7 are selectively operated based on focus error signals. This enables the holding frames to be moved in the optical axis direction.
