Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide optimum scaling operation by supporting a nozzle by means of a parallelogram link so that injection angles and distances can be adjusted depending on width and surface condition of a stip.
CONSTITUTION: A rotational center is placed on an arbitrary extention line which presses a point where a fluid hits on a running strip S. A parallelogram link is installed parallel to both the extention line and an axle of fluid injection. The link, consisting of link elements 14, 15, 20, and 21, supports a nozzle equipment. In order to change injection angles β between an axial line l6 of a nozzle 35 and the flat surface of the strip, a screw shaft 28 is displaced back and forth by rotating the shaft which moves the link elements 14 and 15 with their centers on 12 and 13. While change of injection distance is accomplished by moving a block 34 by means of rotation of a screw shaft. When the strip is replaced by a narrower one, a supporter element 5 is pivoted around a center X by driving force of a screw shaft, changing tilting angle of the axial line l6 against the center line of the strip, thus erecting the nozzle equipment.
