Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve reliability by providing a generator interlocked to a fan motor for detecting the ventilation state.
CONSTITUTION: A generator 19 is constituted by a magnet 27 mounted on an upwardly projected portion of a shaft 15 of a fan motor 4 and a coil 18 provided on the outer periphery of the magnet. The coil 18 is connected to a control circuit 20 for controlling an electromagnetic valve 11. When water is caused to flow through a heat exchanger 6, the fan motor 4 is rotated by a flow switch means, and the fan motor 4 and generator 19 are rotated. When the generator voltage is increased to a predetermined value, the electromagnetic valve 11 is opened through the control circuit 20, whereupon the combustion of a burner 5 is started. When the rpm of the fan motor 4 is reduced from the normal value due to such cause as blocking of part of the intake and exhaust pipes 10 and 9, the electromagnetic valve 11 is closed to stop the combustion of the burner 5.
