Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a bearing unit which prevents thermal deformation, improves the cooling performance thereof to thereby improve the bearing performance, and prevents reduction of oil film thickness to thereby prevent it from damaging or seizing.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided a plurality of pads 2 on the periphery of a journal shaft 1, a bearing material 3 mounted on the sliding surface of the shaft 1, a heat insulating plate 4 of synthetic resin or the like mounted on the bottom thereof, cooling fins 2a on both side surfaces, and partition plates 7 among the pads 2. Lubricating oil supplied from a supply inlet 6a of a bearing metal 6 is introduced into the gap between the shaft 1 and the pads 2 to thereby form oil film to thus support the weight of a load. Thus, it can prevent the pads 2 from thermally deforming to improve the cooling performance and various properties of the bearing.
