Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the response of an engine control by instructing the timing of converting analog to digital varying in response to the running state of a vehicle by the counted value of a pluse signal outputted upon rotation of the engine and the engine speed. CONSTITUTION:This controller counts the pulse signal outputted synchronously with the rotation of an engine, compares the counted value thus obtained with the counted value responsive to the engine speed stored in a ROM in advance, thereby judging whether the AD conversion should be conducted or not, and increasing the processing times at low speed time in respect of high speed time with a control circuit 10. This control circuit 10 comprises a CPU 114, RAM 116, ROM 118, and input/output circuit 120 consisting of a multiplexer 122, an AD converter 124, a pulse output circuit 126, a pulse input circuit 128, and a discrete input/output circuit 130, or the like.
