Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplifying the fuel distributing mechanism and power take-off to the distributing mechanism for an internal combustion engine such as, for example two- cylinder diesel engine by distributing fuel to respective cylinders via an electromagnetic distribution valve operating in response to the rotation of the engine using one-cylinder fuel injection pump.
CONSTITUTION: The fuel injection tube 2 of a single-cylinder type fuel injection pump 1 is connected to a distribution valve 3. The valve 3 communicates through injection tubes 2a, 2b with the nozzle 4 of first engine cylinder and the nozzle 5 of second engine cylinder. The valve 3 is composed of electromagnetic changeover valve, and its input electric signal is from amplifiers 6, 7. The input signal to the amplifiers 6, 7 is from pickups 10, 11 such as of electromagnetic type for detecting the opening of suction valves 8, 9 of the engines. According to this configuration, when the first engine, for example, opens the valve 8 at air intake stroke of the first engine, the head makes contact with electromagnetic pickup 10, the output of which is amplified in power by the amplifier 6 into the valve 3 to the thereby distribute the fuel into the respective cylinders.
