Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a trolley wire where the steel band and the conductive layer are contacted tightly, by making coarse the surface of steel band before extrusion coating of conductive layer then heating in non-oxcidation environment thereafter extrusion coating a conductive layer such as aluminum.
CONSTITUTION: When extrusion coating an aluminum conductive layer 2 on a steel band by means of coating extruder 4, the surface of steel band 1 is coarsed by surface coarsing device 8 before feeding the steel band 1 to the coating extruder 4, then said coarsed steel band 1 is heated at heater 9 in non-oxcidation environment such as inert gas, thereafter it is guided to coating extruder 4 to coat with an aluminum conductive layer 2 thus to obtain final product or steel reinforced aluminum trolley wire. With such method the joint between the steel core and the aluminum layer can be strengthened to prevent the deterioration of mechanical strength trolley wire due to the peeling caused after long term usage.
