Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve responsiveness for humidity changes and obtain the sensor of sure operation by flowing preheating current to the sensor including temperature and humidity sensing layer and holding the temperature and humidity sensing layer at a constant temperature.
CONSTITUTION: The circuit is constituted by a humidity sensor 1 sonsisting of a signal electrode 1a serving also as a heating element, other signal electrode ld and a temperature and humidity sensing layer 1c as well as a comparator 12 and a transistor 11. The mid-point of the resistances 7, 8 connected to a power source 2 is connected to the inversion input end of the comparator 12 and the resistance 9 and signal electrode 1a are connected to non-inversion input end, respectively. The base of the transistor 11 is connected to the output end 0 of the compartor 12 via resistance 10 and its emitter to the positive pole of the power source 2 and its collector to the resistance 9, respectively. Further, the resistances 4, 6 and 5, signal electrode 1d, temperature and humidity sensing layer 1c and signal electrode la form a bridge and are connected across an AC power souce 3.
