Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a photo logic circuit device of high response speed with a simple constitution by modulating light according to electric signal by the use of a light modulator which is formed by a polarizer a crystal having electro-optic effect.
CONSTITUTION: Laser light or the like of intensity ID from a light source 1 is polarized by a polarizer 3, after which it is corrected of a phase difference by a wavelength plate 5 and is then intensity-modulated in high speed response by an electro-optic element 2 to which voltage V is applied.
