Abstract
PURPOSE: To place grains on upward flowing air with a spring-up device provided at the starting end section of a grain lifting air tube to give initial lifting speed to said grains so that said grains may be securely lifted without stagnating at said section.
CONSTITUTION: When grains are filled in a funnel 9 prior to drying, change- over valves 15 and 11 are set to the positions indicated by broken and solid lines respectively. Next, when a shutter 10 is opened by driving a fan 5 and a spring-up device 12, the air contained in an air discharge tube 13 is sucked to circulate through a grain collecting chamber 7, an air tube 8 and a tempering chamber 1. Then, the unhulled grains having flown in said air tube 8 when said shutter 10 is opened are sprung up by said spring-up device 12, lifted by rising air and stored in said tempering chamber 1. A fire oven 4 is ignited, said change-over valve 15 is transferred to the position indicated by solid line, and unhulled grains are discharged into said grain collecting chamber 7 through a rotary valve 6 and dried with the dry air fed by a fan 5.
