Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively utilize the oxygen gas to contrive the energy saving, by recovering the excess oxygen gas generating at blowing the oxygen gas, and by using this recovered oxygen gas for the fuel gas for the heating furnace.
CONSTITUTION: The suction piping 6a is installed at one side of the space 5 internally formed in the oxygen blowing nozzle 1, for sucking and recovering the excess oxygen gas; after that, the recovered gxygen gas is enriched by adding suitqble amount of air and oxygen, and is used for the fuel gas, etc., for the heating furnace for the butt-welded pipe. For instance, the heating furnace 9 is installed for heating the skelp 8 a specified temperature, and the oxygen blowing nozzle 1 is located downstream. The oxygen gas being supplied from the nozzle 1 through the piping 6b is blown against the both sides of the skelp 8 for raising its temperature; hereupon, the generating excess oxygen gas is sucked and recovered through the piping 6a, and is exriched at need by adding air from the air pipe 12 and oxygen from the oxygen pipe 13, and is fed to the heating furnace 9.
