Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a vehicle height controlling apparatus, which is capable of keeping the vehicle height always constant in any operating condition of the vehicle, by generating a force corresponding to the vehicle speed and deviation of the vehicle height and applying the force to the vehicle body. CONSTITUTION:The vehicle height controlling apparatus of this invention comprises a deviation detecting means I1 for detecting deviation of the vehicle height, a signal processing circuit II1 for producing control signal, and an actuating means III1 for applying a force corresponding to the control signal to vehicle body B. With such an arrangement, if a load is acted to vehicle body B, air spring AB is deformed and a deviation signal corresponding to the deformation of air spring AB is produced by deviation detecting means I1. This deviation signal is subjected to signal processing in the signal processing circuit II1, which produces in turn a control signal. Opening angle of electromagnetic valve MV is controlled by this control signal to supply a corresponding amount of compressed air accumulated in accumulator AL to air spring AB and to thereby change the internal pressure of air spring AB. Thus, it is enabled to raise behicle body B against the load acted to the same to such an extent that the vehicle height is kept substantially constant.
