Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep the safety operation by removing the bubles in the first coolant, by means of connecting a pump which drives the coolant by circulation and the upper inner part of a middle heat exchanger via a gas and liquid separating tank, and of connecting the bottom part of the gas and liquid separating tank to the entrance side of the pump.
CONSTITUTION: During coolant containing bubles is passed through a pump and a middle heat exchanger 4, the bubles are introduced to a gas and liquid separating tank 5 along with the coolant via a pump overflow piping and a vent piping 10 of the middle heat exchanger, and there, the gas and the liquid are separated, and only the coolant is introduced again to a cold leg piping 6 of a branched piping 6a of the cold leg. The separated bubles by the gas and liquid separating tank 5 are introduced to the cover gas space in a reactor vessel 2 via a vent piping 5a.
