Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep the safety of a pressure vessel of a reactor, by means of restraining below the value by which the rate of temp. rising in the pressure vessel becomes automatically to operation limit when the reactor is to be heated or be cooled.
CONSTITUTION: A reactor 1 is heated by means of withdrawing a control rod 3 inserted in a core 2 of the reactor 1. While the output signals of a temp. element 5 which detects the surface temp. of the upper part and a temp. element 6 which detects the surface temp. of the lower part of the reactor 1, are recorded in temp. recorders 7, 8, they are sent to a differential circuit 9. The differential circuit 9 indicates the temp. change rate as an output signal in a temp. change rate indicator 10. On the other hand, this output signal is sent to a trip comparing circuit 11. The trip comparing circuit 11 outputs an alarm generating signal to an alarm circuit 12 when the signal of the temp. change rate reaches at the trip set value, or outputs a trip signal to a control rod driving obstruct circuit 13.
