PURPOSE:To make easy the faulty section for sectioning, by setting all the loops with the folded signal from multiplexer. CONSTITUTION:In the transmitter consisting of the terminal 1, subscriber line terminal unit 2, subscriber line 3, subscriber intra-office unit 4, and multiplexer 5, the fifth loop 11 is set with the unit 4 by the folded signal from the multiplexer 5. The fourth loop 10 receives the folded signal from the loop 10 at the unit 4, activates the relay in the unit 2 with DC from the subscriber line, and connects the upper and lower stream lines. Next, sinusoidal waves flow to the subscriber line, and receives the sinusoidal waves from the upper stream line with loop setting by DC. If this level is adequate, the fifth loop 11 is set and eelivers it to the unit 5. The loop setting by the folded signal from the unit 5 makes easy the sectioning of fault.
