Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the constitution of a liquid load protecting circuit simple and achieve the improvement of reliability by controlling the driving circuit for electrostrictive type ultrasonic wave vibrator according to the change in the driving current owing to the presence or not of liquid load.
CONSTITUTION: When there is no more liquid load, the internal impedance of the electrostrictive type ultrasonic wave vibrator 8 of an oscillation circuit A sharply decreases. This results in an increase in the driving current of the vibrator 8 and an increase in the voltage through the resistance 14 of a protecting circuit part B in proportion to the driving current. When this voltage becomes high than the reference voltage having been set in the emitter and base of a transistor 15, the transistor 15 conducts. Then, a thyristor 20 goes ON to cut off the bias current flowing in a transistor 11, causing the driving current to the vibrator 8 to be set and the oscillation of the vibrator 8 to be stopped by the circuit part B which does not use any float or the like and operates stably. Thus, the occurrence of breakdown, etc, owing to the large oscillation of the vibrator 8 is surely prevented by the simple constitution.
