Abstract

PURPOSE: A thermoplastic resin is scattered on the surface of metal plate, molten by heating, cooled and made tranparent or tranlucent to form glazed uneveness on the furface, thus producting said facing material with glaze-like surface.
CONSTITUTION: Thermoplastic resin particles 4 with average particle sizes of 0.5W 3 mm are scattered on the surface of metal plate 1 with adequate intervals and they are transferred by conveyor belt and prepheated with infrared heaters 6. Then, they are passed through hot air oven 7 of about 30 m length at about 200°C at a speed of about 6 m/min to melt the particles 4 partially, cooled in cooling zone 8, thus forming glazed and smooth uneveness 2 on the surface of metal plate 1.
