Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the optimum degree of exposure for the selected area by partitioning entire shooting viewfield by means of the split-type ionization chamber X-ray detector.
CONSTITUTION: The current sent from electrodes aWg on the upper surface of detector 6 is amplified 9 and selected 10. When performing the fluoroscopic observation, film cassette 7 does not exist. And the X-rays are changed to the electric signals through X-ray camera 8 and then projected on monitor 14 through mixter 13. The output current corresponding to the desired shooting area is selected 12 through electrodes aWg of detector 6. The degree of amplification is switched 11 for the selected 10 input current based on selection signal 12 and in reversely proportion to the number of selected electrodes, thus the output being kept constant. The image of the selected area is displayed on monitor 14 in overlap to the fluoroscipic image. When the cassette is inserted with the switch turned on, the output of switching circuit 11 is integrated 15 to control and shield 16 the high-voltage source at a fixed level, thus stopping generation of the X-rays. As a result, the degree of blackening can always be kept optimum for the picture of the selected area.
