Abstract
PURPOSE: Continuous controlling means including digital roll-state detector, target setting means, calculator is installed in rolling reduction controller, thereby to provide high accuracy positioning free of analog deficiency.
CONSTITUTION: Servo valve opening degree calculator 11 stores digital values of roll position target value from the setter 1 and detected roll position from the detector 3. The calculator 11 uses the difference between the target and detected positions to determine the opening degree of the servo valve 7. The determined value is transmitted as signal to the valve opening controller 12, and corresponding current is fed to the coil of the servo valve 7. Thus, the valve opening is continuously controlled to a value between close and full-opening, and pressured oil flows from cylinder 8 in proportion to the valve opening. Reduction control according to deviation value, totally digitallized control circuit enables highly stabilized operation as compared with conventional systems, resulting in high precise position control in the rolling portion 2.
