Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct accurately the time axis of reproducing videos throughout a wide range by connecting plural shift registers successively and giving the output of a time axis error detector to individual clocks of each shift register.
CONSTITUTION: A synchronizing signal is extracted from video signals obtained at input terminal 10 and is compared with reference synchronizing signal in time axis error detector 12. The output of time base error detector 12 is applied to the first clock signal generator 14 and delay equipment 16. The first clock generator 14 controls the frequency on a basis of error signals and drives the first register 15. Error signals are delayed by a time approximately equal to the delay time dependent upon the first shift register 15 by delay equipment 16 and are inputted to the second clock signal generator 17 and drive the second shift register 18. Consequently, even in case that a video signal should be delayed greatly, the preceding signal is not affected even when the next error signal is inputted because the error signal itself is delayed.
