Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten a lock-in time after skew generation, by resetting a step-down counter, constituting a PLL circuit or by changing its preset value to another value according to the extent of the skew. CONSTITUTION:If a reproduced horizontal synchronizing signal from head A and that from head B differ in pulse interval owing to the skew generated in switching heads of VTR, reproduced horizontal signals before and after the head switching are supplied to counter 2, which is forced to reset. As a result, counter 2 generates a synchronous output in the same time series with the reproduced horizontal synchronizing signal. In this case, a fixed phase error occurs, but can be suppressed low. In addition, the same effect can be obtained by supplying a preset value to the counter according to the extent of the skew.
