Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure the projection of the pictures free from the flicker noise by redoubling the field discharge electron current sent from the needle-type cathode through the electron redoubling device and then making the electron current enter the anode band rays to discharge completely the electric charge stored in the anode target.
CONSTITUTION: The voltage occurring between needle-type cathode 5 and electron redoubling device 11 is increased enough to give the field discharge to the electron and also reduced enough not to discharge the electron. As a result, only cathode 5 on cathode band rays 2 discharges the electron, and thus the needle-type cathodes on other cathode band rays discharge no electron. The electron discharged from catnode 5 is redoubled by device 11 and then sent to anode band rays 1. And only the electron which faces to rays 1 connecting to anode target 3 gives impact to rays 1 to make the fluorescent film provided on rays 1 emit the light to form one picture element. Other electrons return to device 11. In this case, the luminous brightness of the fluorescent film can be controlled by controlling the charge amount stored in rays 1.
