Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate idleness of adsorbent in an apparatus, in which a rotor rotates relatively to a stator, and to make the apparatus compact, by making various fluid flow spirally and in the direction opposite to the turn of the rotor so as to cause adsorption on the whole adsorbent.
CONSTITUTION: A rotor 6 is partitioned by dividing boards 18 into adsorption chambers 6aWl, and one-side-opened stators 4, 5 are equipped with fluid chambers 4aWj, 5aWj, which charge or discharge the fluid selectively, and pipes 21aWj, 20aWf, which connect these chambers to outside of the system. Raw material gas A fed through the pipe 20a to the chamber 4j flows by way of the chambers 6l, 5j, pipe 21g, the chamber 4i sequently and in the direction opposite to the turn of the rotor, i.e., opposite to the direction of a double arrow, then it is drawn off as product gas B through the pipe 21b. In the same manner, a fluid E for regeneration flows through the chambers 6eWb in series and is discharged as regeneration fluid F. Scavenging gas C is discharged as exhaust gas D, and the chambers 6a, 6g form dead spaces in order to prevent short circuit of each fluid.
