Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an interference to the packing without an overhaul of the machine in which a packing is installed on between the main shaft of water wheel and the runner rod and both lubricating oils for the servomotor and runner mechanism are partitioned off each other.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of distant rings 6 is fit on the two packings 1, respective opposite faces 13 are made taper surface. A pushing body 14 with a taper surface which is movable along the said surface 13 is fit on the distant ring. By this, an interference can be given to the packing 1 by tightening the pressing body 11 when constructed. When oil is leaked due to the wear of packing 1, the operating bolt 16 is inserted from the leak oil path 7 to move the pushing body 14 leftwards. Thus the leakage can be stopped since the taper face 13 is pushed by the taper face 15 and the spacing between both distant rings is extended.
