Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the self-diagnosis of the entire part of the appartus and obviate wrong supervising by separately providing an acoustic wave generator and comparing the generating position of the acoustic waves obtained through the analysis of the acoustic waves thereof and the position where the acoustic waves are actually generated.
CONSTITUTION: Normally, no acoustic waves are generated from an acoustic wave generator 61 and the supervising function of the entire part is effected by operating a switch 81 thereby letting the acoustic waves be generated from the acoustic wave generator 61 by a signal generator 71, at which time it is beforehand identified in an arithmetic processing unit 41 that the acoustic waves having been generated are those from the acoustic wave generator 61. The arithmetic processing unit 41 compares the generating position of the acoustic waves obtained through analysis and the position of the acoustic wave generator 61 having beforehand been stored in the memory built-in the arithmetic processing unit 41, judges whether the analysis of the generating position of the acoustic waves is accurately accomplished or not and displays the results in a display device 51.
