Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the reduction of the number of steps and prevent the degradation of liquid crystal by saving the hole sealing of liquid crystal injetion ports.
CONSTITUTION: Upper and lower substrates 21, 22 are sealed by a sealing agent 23 and are provided with a liquid crystal injection hole 24 and liquid crystal well 25. Saving of the sealing of the liquid crystal injection hole enables the number of production steps to be reduced and the degradation of liquid crystal owin to the effect of hole sealing member to be prevented. The use of inorganic glass as the substrate causes the moisture, when it enters from the outside, to react with the ions in the glass components and lead to the degradation of liquid crystal. If against this high polymer material is used as the substrate, there are no more factors to degrade the liquid crystal because of absence of any ions, thus the panel characteristics may be maintained in a good state.
