Abstract

PURPOSE: To bond a first part to a second part with an extremely thin adhesive layer, by coating the surface of the first part with the adhesive, applying a third part to the surface of the adhesive, pressing together, and peeling the third part before the solidification of the adhesive, and repeating the application and peeling steps until the adhesive layer reaches a desired thickness.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of the first part 2 is coated with a proper amount of an adhesive 3, a third part 4 free of adhesive is placed on the surface of the adhesive, and the parts 2 and 4 are pressed together between the rollers 5. Before the solidification of the adhesive, the parts 2 and 4 are peeled off each other. A new third part 6 free of adhesive is again placed to the surface of the adhesive, and peeled off while the adhesive is still soft. The application and the peeling steps are repeated several times until the adhesive layer on the first part becomes a desired thickness. Finally the second part 2 is placed on the first part having the adhesive layer having a desired thickness, and pressed with rollers 5 to obtain the objective bonded product.
