Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a linearity compensator which can make adequate correction following up quickly to easy-to-vary non-linear characteristics. CONSTITUTION:An input signal is outputted by way of delay circuit 7, programmable attenuator 8 and amplifier circuit 9 with non-linear characterstics; and the input signal is branched at the input side, level-adjusted after passing through delay circuit 13, and then applied to error detector 14 which detects an amplitude error. The output of amplifier circuit 9 is also applied to the error detection circuit after being level-adjusted. Further, signal levels at both input and output sides applied to error detector 14 are so adjusted that when characteristics of circuit 9 are ideal, both the level will become equal. The output of this detector 14 is supplied to sample holding circuit 16. The signal branched at the input side is applied to comparator 10, where the input level is discriminated. This output is supplied to memory 11 and latch circuit 15. The output of circuit 16 is written into memory 11 by way of A/D converter 17 and adder 18 and at this time, the output of latch circuit 15 is used as a write address signal.
