Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove the poisonous fine grains sticked from outside, the exfoliated small fragments and others by giving the vibrations of the undefined frequency to the panel, the shadow mask or the like, and thus to obtain a color picture tube featuring the steady operation.
CONSTITUTION: Panel 2 incorporating shadow mask 1 is put on panel stage 3, and the upper surface of panel 2 is hit intermittently as the arrow indicates with the Teflon rod (not shown in the figure) which is provided at the upper part of stage 3. At the same time, the clean air is jetted through nozzle 4 provided at the lower part of the stage. The vibrations thus caused features no fixed frequency but the vibration frequency varies, and thus the resonating part shifts in sequence. As a result, the sufficient vibrations are secured over the entire surface of the panel and the shadow mask to remove the poisonous extraneous matters, etc.
