Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable easy alteration of the depth in a swimming pool by providing water overflowing grooves of different heights and a valve at a drain pipe of the overflowing groove excluding the highest groove to open or close the valve.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided high water overflowing groove 33 beteen the pool side wall 31 and the pool peripheral top 32, low water overflowing groove 35 under the groove 33 in cascade type, and drain pipes 34, 36 connected to the grooves 33, 35, respectively. A valve 37 is provided at the intermediate portion of the pipe 36. When the valve 37 is now closed to use the pool, the water in the pool is overflown over the groove 33 to drain from the pipe 34 to thereby keep the water surface at 38 to thereby provide deep depth in the pool. When the valve 37 is then opened, the water in the pool is drained through the pipe 36 to overflow over the groove 35 to lower the water level at 39 to thus provide shallow depth. Thus, the depth in the pool can be easily altered by opening or closing the valve.
