Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an improved process for making plane exothermic body such as electric carpet, etc. wherein the pressure welding of laminated layers can be efficiently and inexpensively accomplished.
CONSTITUTION: This process comprises steps of inserting a heating or exothermic element 2 into a groove formed in the insulating material 1 such as felt and the like, placing a metal foil 5 such as aluminum, etc. having synthetic resin layers 3 and 4 such as thermoplastic polyethylene, polyamide, etc. on its opposite sides, placing a surface material 6 comprising carpet, non-woven fabric, etc. on the resin layer 3, and subjecting then to the heat pressure welding from the upper and lower sides under predetermined conditions (temperature: 120∼130°C, pressure: 0.5∼2kg/cm2, time: 2∼5 minutes).
