Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a rotor of high performance for a step motor by inserting a rotor magnet perforated at the center into a mold, and charging synthetic resin into the mold to directly couple the magnet with the rotor core to thereby reduce the size of the magnet.
CONSTITUTION: A rotor magnet 5 performated at the center is inserted into a mold of upper die 6 and lower die 7. Synthetic resin is poured from an inlet 9 of the mold to thus mold a rotor core 10 having metal portions 10a. The magnet 5 is elevationally grasped by the metal portions 10a and large-diameter portions 10a to be coupled with the rotor core. Accordingly, since the magnet 5 is directly coupled with the rotor core, it can reduce the diameter of the center hole of the magnet 5 to thereby reduce the inertial moment of the rotor so as to obtain a high performance step motor improving mechanical and electrical conversion efficiency.
