Abstract

PURPOSE: To rationalize a refrigerating cycle by providing a nonreturn valve and an expansion valve in parallel with a capillary tube and fixing a thermal sensor cylinder of the expansion valve to an exit pipe of a refrigerant heater.
CONSTITUTION: For heating against cold open air, the compressed refrigerant from a compressor 1 is introduced into an indoor heat exchanger 3 through a four-way valves 2 for radiation and condensation. It is then decompressed in an expansion valve 8 and conducted through a nonreturn valve 9 and an outdoor heat exchanger 5 to be introduced into a refrigerant heater 6 for heating. When the outdoor temperature is lowered than the refrigerant temperature in the outdoor heat exchanger 5, radiation is given from two-phase refrigerant to reduce dryness, and the refrigerant amount in the outdoor heat exchanger 5 is increased to decrease that in another cycle. Consequently, the refrigerant temperature at the exit of the refrigerant heater 6 is increased, and when it is risen over the set point in a thermal sensor cylinder 10, the opening of the expansion valve 8 is increased to increase the sending amount of liquid to the low pressure side. Thus, the refrigerant amount to the heater is increased to keep the suction temperature in a proper level.
