Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the reproducibility of the images of the bound part of books by letting the conjugation lengths of the respective elements of an optical transmission body array differ along the covex face of an original support plate in a copying machine or the like.
CONSTITUTION: A transparent original support plate 11 whose sectional shape is convex in the rectangular direction R crossing the scanning direction S, an imaging face 14 for performing image recording and an optical transmission body array 13 disposed between the plate 11 and face 14 are provided. The array 13 is so disposed that the arraying directions of its respective elements 13 align to the direction R and the respective elements 13a are so arranged that their respective conjugation lengths vary so as to connect their respective focuses along the convex face of the plate 11. The conjugation lengths of the respective elements 13a are changed by the transparent flat plate interposed between the respective elements and the plate 11, or are changed by the refractive index distributions or lengths of the respective elements.
