Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable variable power images to be obtained by the use of an optical transmission body array by disposing convex lenses at least on one of the exit end face side and incident end face side of the optical transmission body array.
CONSTITUTION: One or a plurality of convex lenses 4 are disposed on at least one of the light incident end face side and exit end face side of a focusing type optical transmission body array 10 which comprises disposing a multiplicity of transparent focusing type optical transmission body elements 1 whose refractive indices change parabolically in the radial directon in column form with their light incident end faces and exit end faces being made respectively parallel. Securing these lenses to a support plate 11 and moving said support plate 11 in the optical axis direction enable arbitrary magnification (expansion or scale down) to be obtained.
