Abstract
PURPOSE: To recirculate exhaust gas sufficiently in a small size construction by using combination pressure of exhaust gas pressure and throttle pressure in a feedback course as applied pressure the operational factor of a negative pressure regulator in an EGR system.
CONSTITUTION: An EGR system is constituted that a flow control valve 18 whose opening is controlled by a negative pressure motor 19 is equipped in an exhaust gas feedback course 7a communicating an exhaust gas passage with a suction passage 1. A negative pressure regulator 45, consisting of reference pressure chambers 50, 52 to which air at reference pressure near atmospheric pressure are sent and the primary and secondary pressure applied chambers 51, 53, works from difference pressure between combination pressure of said both pressure applied chambers 51, 53 and internal pressures of reference pressure chambers 50, 52 to supply reference air to a negative pressure motor 19. Pressurized air downstream the throttle 36 of the pressure chamber 38 the bypass which is opened or closed by the diverter 41 is sent into the primary pressure applied chamber 51 and another upstream the throttle 14 is into the secondary pressure applied chamber 53.
