Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase electrostatic effect and improve fine-dust collecting efficiency by soaking unwoven cloth in a solution of synthetic resin, such as vinyl acetate and drying it.
CONSTITUTION: Unwoven cloth made of more than 50%, preferably 80%, of polypropylene fiber, and rayon fiber for the remainder, is immersed in a solution of resin, consisting mainly of a copolymer of either of vinyl acetate, acrylic acid, or acryl-styrene, and then it is dried. After this, the unwoven clothis tanned by physical means, such as bending, stretching or beating, and thereby its electrostatic effect is remarkably increased and its fine-dust collecting efficiency is improved.
